Frequently asked questions

If you're reading this it means you're considering booking with us and, for that, we thank you.

Find a list of our most frequently asked questions below but do not hesitate to reach out via our Contact page, Instagram or Facebook with any questions.

What services do you offer?

We offer Balcony Cleaning and Pressure Washing services.

Included in Balcony Cleaning is the following:

  • All glass (both sides of railing panes, exterior windows, dividers etc)

  • Window sills and ledges

  • Railing (top surface, underside and all connection points and posts)

  • Floor

  • Door frame, tracks, screens door (both cleaning and track lubrication) and vents

For Pressure Washing, your balcony or patio must have a high-pressure water source and must be self-contained with drainage.

What do I need to know before booking pressure washing?

In order to use a pressure washer, you'll need to have drainage on your balcony or patio that does not cause water to drain to neighbouring balconies or patios as well as a high-pressure water source, like a hose hookup. If the only hose hookup available is in a laundry or utility room, let us know so we can bring extra hoses!

How do I measure my balcony?

If you have an oddly-shaped balcony, visit our How to Measure page for instructions for some of the most common balcony shapes. If your shape is not listed, feel free to contact us and we'll guide you through it.

What don't you clean?

Every balcony is different and we try to keep this list to a minimum but there are certain areas that are not practical for us to clean (although we will always do our best). These include:

  • Concrete and stucco walls: Not only do these become permanently stained over time, they require a large amount of water to wash and rinse, for that reason we cannot promise that these will be done.

  • The underside of flooring: We cannot remove flooring in order to clean underneath it.

  • Interior windows: We do not typically clean the inside of the windows simply because our equipment is not designed for indoor use and most inside windows can be cleaned with windex and paper towel.

  • The ceiling: For various reasons we do not include ceilings in our list of services.

  • Outer edge of ceiling: We cannot reach the outer edge of the ceiling for safety reasons.

Do you install flooring?

We do not currently offer flooring installation on its own. However, feel free to contact us and we will see what we can do.

What about furniture?

We can wipe down all plastic surfaces (plastic wicker, composite, moulded etc) but we do not work with wood or fabric and we do not offer upholstery cleaning.

**Please note that if you intend to have the floor cleaned (which we highly recommend) and there is furniture on the balcony, the $30 furniture moving fee will apply.

What if I have a spider problem?

We offer a spider treatment for $30 which involves treating the edges and corners of the balcony with an aerosol spider-specific insecticide that dries as a film. This typically deters spiders for several weeks. We have had reports that the treatment has been effective for up to two months.

However, this depends entirely on the following:

  • How much rain your balcony gets (less is better).

  • How close your building is to a body of water; spiders tend to gravitate toward buildings that are close to water and these building tend to be infested which means spiders will come from adjacent balconies.

  • The age of your building: Newer buildings tend to have fewer nooks and crannies that spiders can live in.

  • The severity of the issue: This treatment should not be considered an extermination and if the problem is systemic to your building this treatment will only help so much.

Do you offer repairs?
We do not offer repairs at this time, please speak to your property manager or landlord to have repairs done.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept virtually all forms of payment: Amex, Visa, Mastercard, Debit, Cash, e-Transfer and even PayPal.

Will water drip down onto my neighbours balcony?

No! We use very little water in our process and we use a wet vac to collect all waste water before it has a chance to drop down onto the balconies below. We can expect to have a few drips from washing the railing glass, but this is minimal.
